Yeah, 2RE is a real diamond in the rough and an example for others in the network to follow. Pity about their frequency choice (cruelling any chance of Braidwood FM on the MNC) but otherwise great when local.
This might (or might not) be a new thing as well - heard NEW FM and MAX FM Taree running the same programming this afternoon.
As annoying as it is having B-Rock and 2BS lose localism, it does mean you can now stream the SRN AM and FM feeds from the 2BS and B-Rock websites.
You can also stream 4KZ and KoolFM from their websites too (of which neither take the SRN feed).
4KZ has to be the oldest sounding station I’ve ever heard. Singing jingles & all. Untouched.
G’day,
Thanks for the positive feedback
92.9fm has actually ran local on Saturdays through till 2pm since October 2020… So nothing new, just refreshing the programming in 2025…!
Just thought I’d clarify!
Thanks!
Any word on when 2TM will go to FM as yet?
The fact SRN returned FNQ stations to local programming, do we think they’ll do the same for Bathurst at all?
Looking at their Facebook comments and it seems nobody is happy with B-Rock’s changes.
Are they still playing rock during local programming?
Anything to do with the recent changes to music format & localism? Or purely by choice?
Comments are turned off so we’ll never know!
Now whyyyy would SRN have done that?
Oh dear, I guess they really do want listeners to enjoy listening to Billie Ellish, Sabrina Carpenter and Tay Tay on a rock radio station that now has no rock at all. How about we all wait for the next round of radio ratings in Bathurst and see how this impacts their station as a whole. Given that the Orange stations are very much receivable in the Bathurst area, I think it’s safe to say that listeners wanting rock have resorted over to Triple M Orange, and those wanting hit music (Top 40) over to hit105.9 Orange. Watch the number for the Orange FM networks go up, and the local Bathurst stations go down.
Maybe they took a bit of inspiration from Nine News Darwin who turned off comments on one of their FB posts after someone tried giving them the ultimate insult because they fired all of their staff in Darwin? If so, interesting…
More moves at B-Rock with PJ now hosting Breakfast.
Are they literally sacking almost everyone there?
2BS have shared the post. You can comment on their page:
Nice to finally hear ex-NOVA Mary-Ann Harris read the news on SRN this morning.
From Radioinfo:
General Manager of 2TM and 92.9FM Tamworth, Nikki Kenwrick, is about to depart the country music capital and Super Radio Network after eight years, to make the move to Port Stephens.

I love how RadioInfo announces her departure now, when they’ve had the SRN Tamworth GM role on their jobs page for a few days now.
2AD appears to be off the air according to this post. Redirecting...
I love the fact that they’ve referred to it as being
Has an earthquake hit it? Are they teetering off the edge of a cliff? Is the wattage to the cottage buggered?
They failed to pay rent on their transmitter for years. Maybe the “technical issue” is that SWM have cut access until they pay their bill so they can’t replace the faulty equipment. Serves them right.
I think the rent issue only applies to the FM stations, no mention of FM100.3 being off air.
Lack of money into the maintenance of the network is the main reason they have issues sadly
