Sunrise will be live from Currumbin tomorrow for the ANZAC Day service.
As per their ANZAC tradition.
There will be an extended edition of the show tomorrow until 10 AM and it will start tomorrow at the special later time of 6:15 AM at the conclusion of the Currumbin dawn service coverage. Likewise, I believe this is what happens every ANZAC Day too.
Is Currumbin an ANZAC tradition?
It is for Sunrise anyway.
Lets just hope Sunrise’s attendance at the Currumbin Dawn Service doesn’t bring the protesters back to the Gold Coast.
ANZAC Day:
Am I the only one who thinks the brown ticker looks nice?
Nice to see they have re-used the Olympic desk.
Why was there no cross to the dawn service at Perth’s Kings Park?
Come on, you should know by now that Sunrise doesn’t really care about WA, even though they probably should!!!
If you’ve seen one Anzac dawn service in Australia, you’ve seen them all.
I can’t imagine the Perth service being radically different to the ones in Sydney or Melbourne.
Sunrise looked very nice this morning. The desk is great and the graphics were nice.
It looked like they used the same desk as they used for the Commonwealth Games two weeks ago also on the Gold Coast.
Who cares why… it’s a great combo.
The MC at Currumbin this morning thanked 7 for their ongoing support telecasting the service.
Loved the colour of the graphics
That’s cause it is, as was already mentioned earlier.
Maybe due to Matt Tinney presenting local updates each half hour (like normal) with live crosses to the services for Perth.
The telecast is actually a bit of a contentious issue with the local community. Many locals no longer attend the dawn service and the local RSL has received flack for how commercialised and drawn out the service has become.
The whole lower third looked nicer, if you ask me. For ANZAC Day segments, the blue gradient was removed and then the headline text wasn’t blue all morning either. In all, the whole lower third looked more colour coordinated. I grabbed this cap which shows the everyday headline background scrolling in:
And for what it is worth, here’s one showing a name (also used for Sunrise reporters, etc)
