Trying to lay blame on the governments this morning.
Frydenberg is talking sense. If you can’t see that then you are letting politics blind you.
From a Sunrise perspective, he is a perfect guest to have on this morning.

There is a time for political point scoring and politicisation, now is not the time when people are hurting, grieving, mourning and processing all this. No government is immune from this occurring and that’s a reality.
On the topic of Sunrise, good coverage so far but not sure if ‘Sunrise’ needs to be extended all the way to midday though.
I think they’ve determined that the scale of this story is inappropriate for TMS to be on air today.
The competition has also canned Extra as of two hours ago.
I think more sore would it be better to brand it as 7News rather than Sunrise at 11am
Josh represents the very people who are hurting, grieving, mourning and processing all of it.
Not doubting it at all. It was more of a general response to some people talking for and against politicisation of an unfolding situation. Personally I think it’s distasteful and disrespectful to the victims. Not directing it at Josh Frydenberg.
Having Frydenberg on is politicising the issue. Wouldn’t it be more worthwhile to have a sitting member of parliament on and questioning them about whether there was something more that could be done or what needs to be done now? They actually have the power to make changes and are the ones who need to be held accountable. There are current members of parliament of Jewish faith too and many from the community who they could interview. Frydenberg is quite irrelevant these days. He doesn’t even live in the same state.
I get what you are saying but I think it is that exact reason of his advocacy work for the Jewish community that makes him the ideal guest, former politician or not.
From a commercial perspective he attracts eyeballs and clicks to the program because of his profile.
