Unfortunately even when your team loses, you’ve gotta put up with seeing the winning team.
Yes you do but having footage of him attending the event is in my opinion providing him with uneccessary coverage. He maybe the first president to attend the event but who cares it does warrant rolling coverage. There are far more important things to cover like the North Queensland floods to begin with.

Effectively Sunrise was acting as a pre-game show. And rightly so - it’s one of the biggest sporting events in the world. And gaining momentum in Australia.
Why not milk it when you’re the rights holder?

This is a point beyond Sunrise actually but the point is that no POTUS has ever attended the Super Bowl precisely because of the political nature of their attendance. American broadcasters of the big game briefly mentioned his attendance once and did not reference it or show him again. The attention and coverage of his presence is what he wanted.

Maybe Edwina has family commitments. Or maybe she can’t do the long hours of both shows due to her recently revealed health issues. Just be thankful they have presenters to cover all the shifts.
Maybe we don’t need to question every shift the presenters do on camera. We don’t need to know everything about everyone.

Just interesting that they absorb the early news into Sunrise then start wheeling in their ops manager to read it.

Yes but you literally want an explanation for every shift being worked.
There doesn’t need to an announcement every time a presenter is changed.
I would tend to agree, but it is also interesting that their Director of News Operations is fronting the early news.

No, more so wondering why a role that was formally 1 person’s now has an extra person covering a small section of it. It’s really nothing sinister, just using the Sunrise thread to discuss Sunrise, in a media discussion forum.
Especially when you’ve got people like Shaun White or Liam Tapper around too.

There are any number of potential reasons of course - perhaps with her off screen MC work she’s negotiated to start later the day after those events (or before).
