Surprised Sunrise hasn’t got a local 7 news reporter to the scene of the Cairns helicopter crash yet. Still crossing to Georgia Costi in Brisbane.

Guessing no one is in the local newsroom until about 7am - may possibly be getting a crew together now.

They spoke to a woman from emergency services at 7.00am as well.
Why is there a helicopter flying at 2am anyway?
Could’ve been for one of the nearby hospitals. Who knows? I guess it will be revealed soon.
They really don’t know as the flight was unregistered.

Seven must be worried about Sunrise’s ratings - they are now playing the tomorrow on Sunrise promo at the end of the local morning news in Adelaide.

It’s almost as if Sunrise and Today colluded this morning. Both with no dedicated sports reporter and no crosses to Paris. Though Sunrise did have quite a lot of sports covered.

Shirvo got in some good interviews.
The “7 News Chopper” made an appearance and at one point the captions claimed that the event was at the “Brisbane Ekka”

Shirvo interviewed quite a lot of the athletes and the chats were all relevant and he had good banter with them. Good that he was the one sent out to interview.
