Sunrise (2020-Feb 2025)

Like Eddy and Beretts standing next to the vertical screen for their segments, and the graphics look good. :+1:

Better than the Today Show graphics I’d reckon.

If they just use generic graphics, what’s the point?

No opener at 7am just the opening transition, no music or voiceover, just Matt and Mon standing at the screen

No cross to JT at 7.15. Not sure if he’s away? Mon read the forecast.

7.40: Gertie doing the weather from Adelaide.

Opener and voiceover returned at 8am.

There was also no clock graphic for the opening few minutes. The full shot of the desk wasn’t until 7:09.

What could she possibly have to say about this story?

Presumably JT called in sick, but Gertie is far more tolerable than Katie or Tamra.

In the state-by-state forecast I’ve noticed that some of the location boxes overlap. Surely it hasn’t always been like this? It looks quite untidy.

What makes you say this?

It was reported last week that management have made changes behind the scenes. .

This was a result from the Bondi Central Incident and the incorrect name being broadcast to air.

Presumably JT was away at the last minute (or technical difficulties with links) and they had to call around to see who they could get on air.

Wonder if Gertie will still do the 6pm weather in Adelaide?

Paul Burt doing weather from the Gold Coast.

I wish they would stop using Burty nationally he is dreadful JT is much better. Leave him as the coastal reporter. He should never of been appointed weather presenter for Brisbane.

I think it’s good.

Watching again this morning, and I’m convinced Shirvo’s standing presentation of the second story each day is prerecorded. The desk and chairs are positioned too far back to not be seen in his shot, and there is no transition from the colours behind Nat to those used behind Shirvo.
Not enough time to move all the furniture in and out for one story intro, so it must be recorded earlier.

Back at Martin Place they used to do this alot so I wouldn’t be surprised.

All that time and money spent on a massive new studio and they still have to wheel around the main desk…

It’ll be banged up and dented in no time!

The pre-recording during covid was always easily detected, as Nat or Kochie would do something (a pause, infection in the voice, move stance) that was noticeable.
(I’m talking about the period when Sam was absent).

Those news intros of Matt standing at the wall are 100% not pre-recorded.
