He’d be joining Teegan, replacing Nathan Currie. Great for Sunrise but it likely takes him away from presenting opportunities at 4/6pm, which is a shame.

He could still do the odd report or presenting though, especially once Teegan gets back, it’ll all depend on his Sunrise workload. I don’t recall Currie’s being that big in late 2020, 2021 and early 2022 when Templeton was last on-air full time.
Likely. But one way to ensure they become the #2 breakfast show in the future, is to do nothing.

Exactly. Seven Sydney did the same thing when Ian Ross retired, but ended up losing to Nine who had evolved over time, while Seven stayed in the 2000s for quite some time.

If you’re going to do stop motion, you need greater movement in your stills. They were getting there with Sam’s. To that end, the final sequence is a bit bland, and as someone mentioned, needs a few more frames.
Also a bit bizarre to feature Katie so prominently across the vision but not have her as a featured graphic.

Some seemingly quick movement between the first two stories at 5.30.
The opening was at the main desk set as usual but the camera came from the right side, where Beretts sits, rather than the left as it usually does.
Nat presented the first story from the desk and then the cross back from Mylee Hogan to Shirvo.
He was standing in the desk area, no sign of the desk and the presenters.
Then at the end of that cross, Nat and Shirvo again seated at the desk, crossed to Eddy for the rest of the news.
So was Shirvo’s intro prerecorded or did they move the desk, chairs and all the presenters out and then back in again, in the space of one story?
If it was live, where was Nat sitting for the cross back to Mylee? Could’ve been in the soft set area- notice the yellow curve of the sun ray behind her is on the opposite angle to usual??

I’d say her normal seat at the desk. But, because Matt would have been behind her, she faced the camera next to Eddy.

If they planned on using it multiple times throughout the morning, good chance it was pre-recorded. Especially for longer scripts or explainers.
