A new set would be highly doubtful given the move to Eveleigh is only a few months away (I’d imagine they’ll keep the slanted desk), though those light-up TOKYO decorations during the Summer Olympics looked cool, would be nice to see similar set pieces.

Herald Sun reporting that Matt Doran has checked into a rehab facility to focus on his mental health. Family sources say that the pressure of looking after his ill mother and the attention his Adele interview gained worldwide caused him to reach ‘breaking point’, and he is battling chronic and severe depression. He is expected to be off work for several weeks.

If 7 had given any consideration to Monique doing news on weekdays and having a replacement on WS, they would’ve changed their minds no doubt with Matt off for a while. Wouldn’t want 2 new hosts.
