I reckon it probably came about when someone accidentally hit ‘s’ instead of ‘a’ when they were doing up the autocue and the kochmeister just rolled with it

Even though Seven probably popularised it 10-15 years ago, Nine and (to a lesser extent) Ten also love on-air nicknames for their presenters these days!

An extremely watchable program this morning. Light years ahead of Weekend Today. Angela and Michael are very adaptable to light breakfast news and straight through to full bulletins. Seven actually have some amazing talent at the moment.

I said around this time last year that Angela Cox was a very talented presenter and deserved a permanent presenting role and again this year she is shining especially this weekend on Weekend Sunrise.
I think in the years to come Angela will be waiting in the wings for a permanent hosting role.
