Random post that some may disagree with but I really like this opener from Sunrise 2002, particularly Chris Reason saying ‘as the sun rises this Wednesday’. FAR better than breakfast shows playing the latest pop song as their intro.

I think the difference was that last time a host was replaced by management whereas now the host had the upper hand and walked out on management for a bigger/better contract.

I don’t know about unnecessary, this is a lady who left the Sunrise Family for a bigger/better contract with Nine. You can’t expect it to all be well wishes.
Side Note, Had Lisa not left Weekend Sunrise, we likely would not ham Sam hosting now.
