Seven’s split schedule saw the network dominate the Sunday night ratings with a combination of night AFL on the main channel in Melbourne and Adelaide plus Dream Home in three markets. Seven’s share was up +3 on last week for an 8-point win over Nine. Nine’s share was down 5 after last week’s win to a four-week low while ABC had its best Sunday in seven weeks. 10 was slightly lower while SBS dropped one.

For Seven, The AFL topped 500k while Dream Home managed 443k in its markets with 7News Spotlight (3 market number as well) on 265k.

Nine’s first instalment of Beyond the Dream looking at USA v Australia swimming rivalry ranked sixth with 580k with 60 Minutes down 260k from the previous episode with a smaller lead in.

ABC had new Australian content with the debut of a new season of Spicks and Specks that did well to average 682k combined with the debut of Austin just below 600k ranking fourth and fifth respectively. Austin will no doubt get good consolidated numbers.

Meanwhile MasterChef suffered a near 100k drop from the previous Sunday to a season low on 10 while SBS managed a top 30 entry with a repeat of The Lost City of Melbourne.

Later Milling Millionairess on Nine and and Abba documentary on ABC were close around 380k.

On a public holiday weekend in some markets news numbers at 6pm and breakfast TV numbers were down.

Great ratings for Austin following Spicks and Specks.

Split schedule saw Seven winning, thanks to the AFL /Dream House double.

Nine’s Beyond the Dream swimming special did really well to for 7pm.

ABC’s new Sunday line up did better than i thought it would. The Spicks & Specks and Austin hour did well, as did the ABBA Special that followed.

Interesting to see Nine (9Gem) code the French Open Men’s Final as Late and Late Extended (as seen in the 16-39 list).

Two programs sharing the Sunday 7.30pm timeslot could be the way of the future for the ABC.

The duo took some viewers away from MasterChef, no doubt.

AFL and Dream Home combo worked well for Seven, even if the former down YoY with a fairly one-sided result.

Good night for the ABC, Spicks & Specks has still got it.

Solid audience for Nine’s Olympics doco, even if it didn’t reach great heights.

10 affected by the increased competition. Nice little audience for SBS’s Lost City of Melbourne.

WS still well on top of Weekend Today.

The overnight French Open final epic ranked, in 16-39s, including bvod. Looks like there was some crowd willing to watch a bit or all, especially younyer and streaming. No doubt promoted on Nine across the day. And probably helped their late shares especially Perth.

I wouldn’t say the AFL was one-sided. I think it was 15 points at 3qrt.

With VIC & SA getting yesterday’s Dream Home episode today while the rest gets a new episode, do you think 7 will code them differently so we get the ratings for each episode and not just the day it was watched.

Doubtful, to derive five cities/national figures, but you do have last night’s separate one (Nsw, Qld, Wa) and will get one for Wednesday (Vic, Sa, Tas).
