Seven’s Sunday night split schedule featured AFL Round 13 action with Carlton defeating Essendon shown in Melbourne and Adelaide averaging 463k. In Sydney, Brisbane and Perth The 1% Club season three continued with 542k in those markets. Spotlight aired at various times in all markets with 401k.

Earlier, the afternoon saw North Melbourne come from behind to defeat West Coast to 372k while NRL Sunday Afternoon Footy saw the Panthers win over the Wests Tigers in a close game that topped 500k.

Lego Masters Grand Masters Of The Galaxy’s fourth episode and first elimination ranked fourth for the night but was down 90k from the previous week to 781k. Over on 10, another MasterChef elimination was also down 90k week-on-week while the third episode of Fake missed the top 30.

60 Minutes was slipped slightly to 650k while The Killer Interview With Piers Morgan improved to 289k.

The Piano’s inaugural season finished on ABC steady with just over 700k. It was followed by the season final of Bergerac with 325k.

Earlier, Nine News posted a Sunday win with a margin of 25k to Seven’s bulletin. At breakfast Sunrise improved this week to nearly 400k while Today was steady on 268k.

  • 9News Sunday was the No.1 news bulletin and No. 1 program with Total People across Australia and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 2.169 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.339 million. It recorded a BVOD audience of 119,000.

  • 60 Minutes won its timeslot with Total People across Australia and in Sydney and Brisbane. It registered a National Total TV Reach of 1.288 million and a Total TV National Audience of 650,000. On 9Now, it secured a BVOD Audience of 55,000.

Markets were won based on footy codes (as usual). Nine had +30% in NRL states and Seven was +30% in all three AFL states.

The AFL lead in again failed to deliver for Seven Melbourne while Seven Sydney had one of it lowest ratings of the year. Seven Brisbane notable for doing much better on the weekends than weekdays.

Seven did well with the split schedule - with the AFL and 1% Club doing well in selected cities.

Nine did alright with LEGO Masters. Still doing well, but not as good as previous years?

Poor Fake on 10. Not doing well after MasterChef.

The tennis did well for the 16-39 demo, for the late timeslot. 34k average (58k reach) for the late portion and 23k average (47k reach) for the Late Extended portion. I wonder why Nine didn’t label it as “Men’s Final” rather than late and late extended?
