Sunday continued to be owned by Nine with a tenth straight win and the network’s second highest Sunday share of the survey. While Nine and 10 were steady Seven gained two from ABC and SBS that each dropped by one.

The final commitment ceremony of the current season of Married At First Sight went to air with an average audience of 1.84 million, down 90k from last week.

Australian Idol’s top 8 ranked fourth overall with 966k, down 35k while over on 10, Australian Survivor was steady with the show’s third 600k result since launch.

ABC’s Darby and Joan’s second episode of the season again did well with 651k. That was down 30k from the premiere while later, Unforgotten’s sixth season continued with 475k a +100k drop.

Later, 60 Minutes again delivered for Nine with 935k while Seven got some good numbers from a 7NEWS Spotlight special: Gout Gout that averaged 637k. Matlock on 10 was steady with 247k.

NRL’s Sunday afternoon’s low scoring game featuring the Bulldogs and Eels made the top 10 with 528k, 100k higher than last week. Sunday Afternoon AFL averaged 399k, up slightly to be slightly higher.

It was a comparatively close 6pm contest with Seven News winning by 30k. At breakfast, Weekend Sunrise scored a 100k win over Weekend Today.

  • 9News Sunday was the No.1 news bulletin across the 5 City and in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with Total People. It was also the No.1 bulletin with key demos People 25-54 and 16-39 in Adelaide. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.173 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.198 million - up 7.5% year-on-year. It achieved a BVOD audience of 114,000 - up 31% year-on-year.

  • 60 Minutes dominated its timeslot with Total People and all key demos across Australia and in all metro capitals. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.161 million and a Total TV National Audience of 935,000 - up 26.4% year-on-year. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 123,000 - up 43% on the same night last year.

  • Sunday Afternoon NRL secured its timeslot with Total People in Sydney. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 1.096 million and a Total TV National Audience of 528,000. On 9Now, it recorded a BVOD Audience of 65,000 - up 35% year-on-year

  • Weekend Today was the breakfast program of choice with Total People in Melbourne. It secured a Total TV National Audience of 761,000 and a BVOD audience of 31,000 - up a massive 24% on the same morning last year.

  • The 9Network was the No. 1 network on Sunday across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People.

  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD platform on Sunday across Australia with all key demos and Total People.

Last week, Nine’s NRL coverage has an odd “Post-Match” segment coded. This week, it went back to normal, and just had the match as the lead-in to 9News. But they added a Pre-Match segment for the NRL - which used to be called “Kick-off” for the ratings.
