Australian TV’s Night of Nights saw the 64th TV Week Logies with a preliminary rating of 1.338 million. However, with the telecast running one hour overtime, the lead out program that would have been the last 60 minutes of the broadcast and didn’t make it to air until midnight is listed with an average of 932k so some adjustments will be needed. The preliminary result is on par with last year’s ceremony that had 1.3 million.

the result helped Seven secure its highest share of the year with +40% nationally. That was 15 clear of second-placed Nine while ABC, 10 and SBS all had their best Sunday shares in five weeks.

Earlier, the Red Carpet at 7pm had 1.16 million, down from last year’s 1.265 million. It was up against the first reveal of this season of The Block that managed a season high of almost 1.2 million. Over on 10, Hunted in its news 7pm timeslot saw 422k tune in, that was 60k lower than the previous episode. ABC’s Vera repeat was at 554k.

At 6pm Seven News was just above 1.4 million and 120k ahead of Nine’s bulletin. Later, 60 Minutes did well to top 700k. 10’s new series The Real CSI: Miami just made the top 30 while the rest of ABC’s night missed.

The close NRL game that was decided by Golden Point and ran slightly overtime had 441k while Sunday Afternoon AFL was on 363k. Neither result was particularly remarkable.

Weekend Sunrise had one of its lower results with 360k but was 60k ahead of Weekend Today. ABC’s Insiders was just under 500k.

The Sunday Project at 6pm had 255k that was equal to the previous Sunday’s result.

The Logies rated very well. The last hour (aka The 1% Club in the prelim ratings) did okay for the timeslot.

Great result for Seven, they’d be rapt with that, higher than I expected. Block also did really well. Former more so on broadcast and the latter more so on bvod.

That’s a huge post 11pm audience, share will be through the roof for that portion!

Suicide Squad for its first time on Nine did very well on Go! Might’ve rescued some share for the network, looks like some looked for an alternative.

Seven had its highest share of the year at 40%. The post 10.30 portion was 58.4%.

Not surprised that the post 10.30 section is that high for Seven.

Is The Sunday Project at 6pm good? Or on par from what the 6pm portion of the 5pm News was getting?

43.7%, goodness, what was the last year the Logies pulled a share like that (the previous traditional metric of five cities broadcast)!?

Given the further back you go, the more competitive and higher the rivals (e.g.) MasterChef or X Factor or Australia’s Got Talent or Big Brother’s original peak eras.

And with the final round of the AFL going down to the wire and confected as such by the fixture team, it’ll probably be a landslide victory this week, regardless of Voice rating high or mediocre or worse. Much to Nine’s dismay post Olympics.

Are these numbers last year this day or yesterday because it can’t be yesterday since metro was 926k for 7 so metro total tv can’t be less?

Great win for Seven News Melbourne weekend with Mike Amor and Karina Carvalho (vs Peter Hitchener) :eyes:

Note: AFL was a one-sided belting all game and that lead-in hasn’t been working lately anyway, so :x: factor.

Big win for Seven thanks to the Logies.

Not a good start for Hunted in the new 7pm timeslot. Will take viewers a bit to get used to.
