Reality TV fans were spoiled for choice on free-to-air last night.
The My Kitchen Rules Season 15 Final was at the top of the list averaging a season-high 1.17 million viewers. That brought the average overnight audience across the season to 968k and compared to the 2024 final that averaged 1.129 million.
Meanwhile on Nine, the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor saw the finale also achieve a season high 836k bringing the season average to just over 700k.
The strong reach figures of over 2 million for both MKR and The Bachelor reflect viewers tuning in during the final stages to see the results.
Over on 10, Big Brother Australia’s first eviction of the new season had 646k for the show’s best rated episode since the launch the previous Sunday. That result compared to the equivalent episode on 2023 that had just 253k (exc BVOD).
For ABC, Spicks And Specks, continued to underperform with 370k while the network’s own reality format Portrait Artist Of The Year was down 30k to 531k. For SBS, JFK: One Day In America settled for 146k.
Later, 60 Minutes improved from last week’s low to 689k for a timeslot win while Lip Reading The Royals premiered on Seven to 435k which was enough to make the top 10. Ghosts Australia on 10 had 349k with the Secret Letters of Mary Queen of Scots premiere on SBS managing 105k.

10 must be happy with BB. If it can maintain around these figures, it is surely coming back next year (& hopefully expanded). This must be their best performing reality show in the demos?
Pretty much their second best show, period, just behind HYBPA. It currently averaged over seven episodes (again, subject for Sunday adjustment):
Total: 619,500
25-54: 338,286
16-39: 195,429
And no.1 or 2 for those two demos every night.
If it can iron out its shortcomings (not least of which is an actual reflection of everything that happened instead of favoring HMs and ignoring others), that number will stay consistent.
Which will be a perfect launchpad for the after-show offerings next season, if 10 plans to have them.
