Great figures for Return to Paradise!!

It was a big night for Nine with wins across primetime and afternoon time slots. The result saw Nine lift by two to 30.9% from last Sunday. Seven’s share edged down by one with SBS and ABC also lower while 10 was up slightly week-on-week. Nine with big demo wins including +40% of 16-39 year olds.

Nine News was the number one program of the night with its highest rating since the Olympics with a +150 margin over Seven’s bulletin.

Then at 7pm The Block hit a massive season high over 1.3 million and up 55k on the previous week. That saw The Voice slip by 50k but still stay above one million while The Amazing Race was 50k lower than the final of Hunted the previous week.

Meanwhile Return to Paradise also slipped for its second episode but still recorded an impressive 799k as the premiere episode lifted to 1.166 million in consolidated numbers.

Later, 60 Minutes had an easy win despite dropping by 140k while 7News Spotlight dropped 150k to its lowest post Olympic rating.

9News Late averaged almost 300k while the premiere of Mr Bates V The Post Office could only manage 224k on Seven just below FBI that earlier had 234k on 10.

The NRL come-from-behind win was up to 825k for the best result of this finals series. That was up from 749k for the 2023 EF2.

Weekend Sunrise was lower than usual with Today improved.

Big NRL finals lead-in and number for Nine News, flowing on to Block and 60 Minutes. Massive key demo wins to Nine. 9Now did well yesterday.

Though Seven remained competitive, especially broadcast, no doubt Over 55s, Adelaide & Perth and regional helped.

Looks like 9Go! and 7mate had a good night (the latter’s movie running from 8:30pm to nearly midnight).

Good night for the ABC again. 10 affected by the competition, but a solid effort from Amazing Race, more so younger viewers.

  • The Block was the No. 1 program on Sunday night across the 5 City Metro with Total People and all key demos. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 2.446 million, a Total TV National Audience of 1.343 million, up 2.6% on the same night last year, and a BVOD audience of 198,000 - up 25.1% year-on-year.

  • 9News was the No. 1 program with Total People in Sydney and Brisbane. On 9Now, its BVOD audience of 126,000 was up 110.3% year-on-year.

  • 60 Minutes secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.836 million and a Total TV National Audience of 711,000. Its BVOD audience was 70,000 - up 23.2% on the same morning last year.
