Nine got the week off to a great start with a comprehensive victory that saw wins across all of primetime. The result was Nine’s best on a Sunday since Easter and was up four from the previous week. That saw Seven down three and 10 down two while SBS was steady and ABC had a small increase.

Nine News started the night with a narrow national win at 6pm recording its highest rating of the year. Travel Guides that followed was up 60k to a season high. That put it ahead of Dancing With The Stars that slipped slightly by 10k for its second episode while 10’s MasterChef was up 20k to its best Sunday in nine weeks. ABC’s Spicks and Speck landed fourth but was up 50k this week.

Following, 60 Minutes had its best result of the year surging to 1.12 million, up 400k week-on-week and well ahead of 7News Spotlight that was down 140k. Austin on ABC was steady while Tulsa King just made the top 30.

The Wimbledon Men’s Final saw the best numbers for the tournament with the late segment drawing the biggest audience of 431k. The Tour de France coverage posted its highest average for year so far as well.

In the afternoon NRL managed 465k, up 40k despite a lopsided shoreline while AFL was down slightly to 440k.

Earlier big numbers tuned in at breakfast with news of the Trump assassination attempt, including Sunrise’s highest rating of the year. Late changes to the day’s schedule sees some entries in the table needing adjustment. Social Media Murders plus Footy Furnace will correspond to 9News Late while The Moring Show and Wide World of Sports correspond to early rolling coverage for example.

The joint investigation into the misconduct of the Victorian branch of CFMEU proved to be popular with viewers. I assumed it had the most viewers in Melbourne?

  • 9News Sunday recorded its highest rating bulletin of the year across Australia and the 5 City Metro. It was the No. 1 news bulletin with Total People and all key demos across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, as well as with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It achieved a National Total TV Reach of 2.283 million and a Total TV National Audience of 1.433 million - up 17% year-on-year. Its BVOD Audience of 109,000 was up 81.7% on the same night last year.

  • Travel Guides was Sunday’s No. 1 entertainment program across Australia with Total People and all key demos across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.   • 60 Minutes recorded its highest rating episode of the year across Australia and the 5 City Metro. Winning its timeslot with Total People and all key demos across the 5 City Metro and in Sydney, as well as with Total People in Melbourne and Brisbane. It secured a National Total TV Reach of 2.225 million, Total TV National Audience of 1.117 million (up 33.5% year-on-year) and a BVOD audience of 84,000 (up 68% year-on-year).

  • Sunday Afternoon NRL Live recorded a National Total TV Reach of 1.305 million and a Total TV National Audience of 465,000 winning its timeslot with Total People and all key demos in Sydney and Brisbane. Its BVOD audience of 44,000 was up 29.4% on the same day last year.

  • The 9Network was No.1 across the 5 City Metro with all key demos and Total People…

  • 9Now was the No.1 CFTA BVOD service across Australia with all key demos and Total People.

Great result for 9, from 6pm to about 9pm they stayed above a million

6-7pm : 1.43mill (News)

7-8:10pm : 1.25mill (Travel Guides)

8:10-9:10pm : 1.11mill (60mins)

9:10-9:30pm: ??? (9news Late)

9:30 - 10:30: 0.57mill (social media murders + footy furnace (9:10pm in SA&WA) )

Some big news numbers - highest of the year for Nine. Especially good real for Nine in Adelaide. Seven Brisbane however had one of its lowest Sunday audiences.

Breakfast TV was also big for the commercials. Today very competitive.

Yeah I think dedicating an hour to the Trump shooting was a bit too much as there wasn’t much more to cover than had already been in the news. I watched it for a bit and then turned off. Maybe they should have spent a couple segments on it and then gone ahead with whatever story they were going to air last night.

Wonder if the Wimbledon final helped Nine especially in Perth and regional Wa, being 9pm local and would’ve been the only thing worth watching on FTA for the next 3 hours of prime time there.

That’s the beauty of West Australian markets with time zones for live telecasts, especially sport and should be a similar handy story for Nine soon with the Olympics.

The ABC adjusted their shows to accommodate the coverage of “Trump’s Assassination Attempt”. By the looks of it, it had 3 episodes. To break into the rolling coverage. “Eps 1 and 2” were coded as AM, with the “ep 3” as PM. Not sure of their times.

What was Seven’s Special? With that massive reach, was it the segment that aired minutes prior to the 6pm News?

Nine appears to not code Wide World of Sports as part of the Trump coverage.
