Look at that bluey average audience!! Lots of iview-ing going on yesterday.

Interesting that while Lego had the higher reach, the average audience favoured Farmer (no doubt with strong regionals).

Nothing that can really be taken from that spotlight return. Seems to have weathered the storm.

Seven had its first Sunday win of the survey with a 1 point margin over Nine. ABC’s share was up on the previous week while 10 also was up one and SBS dropped by one.

On a big day of viewing FTA television reached over 14 million Australians. Not only did two new reality shows launch new seasons, but the morning saw the first 28 minute episode of Bluey go to air.

Bluey average an amazing 2.29 million, though the number does not impact the prime time shares.

The top reality show was the launch of Farmer Wants a Wife that topped just over one million while the launch of a new season of LEGO Masters had 874,000. Meanwhile the latest episode of I’m A Celebrity had 650,000, the show’s biggest Sunday since launch, up 90k week-on-week. ABC’s Vera also did well to average 864k roughly equal to the previous episode.

Later Call The Midwife had 627,000 to beat out 60 Minutes on 605k and 7News Spotlight with a special that had 548k.

Earlier, it was a close contest between Seven and Nine News at 6pm while The Project had its best Sunday of the year.

The Weekend Sunrise rating was lower than the previous Sunday while Weekend Today was up 60k.

Bluey’s average was bigger than the reach?

Wide World of Sports and The Sunday Footy Show would be adjusted - due to the overrun of Weekend Today’s extended rolling coverage.

Some big numbers there - great start for Farmer as well.

I’m assuming the reach only includes linear (+ live stream) reach? Average includes BVOD streams afterward which doesn’t include reach, hence the higher average result?

Either way that’s a massive Bluey share.

Unbelievable!

Hopefully media pick up on it (Knoxy is usually all over it at TVT) and report it today, it’ll be a rarity now with the new VOZ rules.

That is a massive audience for Bluey.

The new season premieres of Farmer and Lego Masters did very well.

I’m guessing an average higher than reach indicates rewatching it the show by a decent size of the large pint-sized audience :joy:

But still impressive. Goes to show that the appeal for quality TV is there if Networks want to invest in it. We’d as an audience would even watch it 8am on a Sunday

I wonder how many times the episode aired on broadcast yesterday after its first AM run? That coding would be cumulative wouldn’t it? And I imagine will grow from any recordings or iView plays over coming days and weeks?

It was the No.1 news bulletin with Total People in Sydney (73,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor) & Melbourne (99,000 viewers ahead of its nearest competitor). Its national BVOD audience was 90,000 - up 65.7% year-on-year.

  • Sunday Afternoon NRL Live secured a National Total TV Reach of 1.171 million and a Total TV National Audience of 460,000, easily winning its timeslot in Sydney and Brisbane. Its BVOD audience of 41,000 was up 15.5% on the same day last year.

  • 60 Minutes achieved a Total TV National Audience of 605,000 (up 18.3% on the same night last year) and a BVOD audience of 40,000 - up 62.6% year-on-year.

  • The 9Network was No. 1 on Sunday across the 5 City Metro with Total People, People 25-54 and People 16-39.

  • 9Now was the No. 1 CFTA BVOD service with Total People and all key demographics.
