Does anyone have footage from the few days in December 2011 when Nine News Perth introduced its own dotless branding? Sources:
Old Bruce was wanting to purchase the Nine network
It was only on the watermark and the OTS shots, the rest was the same as the package in 2011.
someone should tell them that stretching a 4:3 image is not actual widescreen
And nor is chopping the top and bottom off to get the same effect.
I hate “fake” widescreen with a passion.
Unfortunately a lot of younger people don’t seem to be able to stand having black bars on the sides. The side effect of that is we get less of the image from the cropping off of 4:3 content to make it fill the widescreen shot.
I’m actually not that old, but tbh I would rather watch old content in its original format rather than have it stretched. Unless it’s been really well done and completely reproduced then don’t bother. The stretch look doesn’t look good.
I’d much rather have the black bars or some sort of custom bars to fill the widescreen image than trying to make 4:3 content widescreen,

Happy Birthday STW9! It was on this day at 5:55pm that WA Premier David Brand declared it open. Said speech was replayed during the station’s first bulletin at 9:30pm.

Did they light up Perth in red for TVW’s 60th?
Or in yellow for whatever NEW’s anniversary was?
If Seven and/or Ten wanted to arrange it, i am sure the sites would oblige (probably for a fee?!)
