Total failure today to cover breaking news. While the US Capitol building was being stormed by domestic terrorists, Studio 10 discussed how to make Mac n Cheese with blue Gatorade.

Doesn’t help CBS didn’t even preempt their primetime airing of all reruns tonight. Only ABC and NBC aired news live. FOX and CBS no desire to cover breaking news it seems, a shame from CBS who always push their news credentials, which have been absent the last four years.

Tristian’s lack of news knowledge and journalism experience has shown during news events. Studio 10 will never have on-rolling coverage like previous years - unless they throw it all to Narelda.

CBS News did air an hour-long special report at 10pm ET (2pm AEDT). However, agree that it was puzzling why they didn’t do rolling coverage in primetime like ABC & NBC did
