Studio 10 (2015-2020)

Wouldn’t be surprised to see him turn up as a regular on those Hot Topics segments on Sunrise or Today alongside the likes of Prue MacSween.

Joe is no loss. His pontificating and over explaining thing was the worst.

I think it’s a good thing Joe decided to step aside, as he said let the new format show breathe without hanging around in some vague capacity - whatever that may have been.

Since this announcement took so long, I think the writing was on the wall as to how this was going to go. It’s hard to see how he could have still been involved in what is essentially just a 2 host format.

While it’s a little sad to lose the only other original member from the hosting line-up, I really hope Tristian’s appointment see’s an exciting new era for once what was a very good program.

I wonder if there’ll still be a studio audience once it’s safe to do so?

I think we will have a studio audience again one day…

Interesting considering the show was originally all about panelists sharing their opinions. That’s what made it work back in the day because the panelist’s opinions were often polar opposites.

Unfortunately it seems Studio10 is about to become two talking heads introducing segments. Already plenty of that available.

Joe dominated all discussions and should have been moved on a long time ago. His mansplaining was really gross.

He’ll pop up on Sky News no doubt… maybe they’ll give him a Friday show.

No, probably a morning show called Cup of Joe

Unpopular on here, but I liked Joe. I think the replacement of the panel members overtime made it less balanced and made his stronger opinions stand out. I don’t think that’s his fault.

I also think people’s dislike for him on here has been expressed at nauseum.

Used to watch it many years ago during its peak whenever i was at home. Unfortunately this new refresh will probably be the final nail in the coffin for Studio 10.

It is the nail in the coffin. Launching at this time of the year, if it doesnt show an upswing in ratings by years end.

It is ok though, send Sarah off to Seven (Sunrise) & Ten should go with an Australian version of Dish Nation, using either Nova, ARN or SCA breakfast shows.

Not a bad idea. Sign a deal with hit/nova and broadcast an in-studio video stream of that state’s capital city breakfast show, with the music video (from MTV archives)/advertorials played during songs.

Always leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Is that the same thing these days?

Should Network Ten have tried a new broadcast time for the new look show from Monday?

Surely 6am-10am would be been more useful than the current broadcast time?

Less $$$ for advertorials.
No one would watch in the early morning if competing breakfast shows don’t do them. Remember that experiment with Breakfast? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That tweet sounds like a pitch for pre-selection to a safe Labor seat.

But more ad revenue for higher ratings in the 6-10am slot?

At this point, studio 10 can’t be an expensive show to make

4 hours of cameras pointing at 2 people talking. One of who would be on a relatively low salary as an unknown.

Will there be much of a fuss made tomorrow do we think? Will Tristan appear?
