The current set was perfect. What a waste.

Unless (when COVID finishes) they want to make a studio audience an integral part of the show again (and from what I’ve heard, the current setup isn’t very good for a studio audience)?

The chairs in the current studio looked pretty uncomfortable.

Interesting that it looks like they’re moving back into their old studio, while utilizing The Project’s Sydney set. People often say the show changed a lot when it moved to the newsroom, so this could give them some more freedom content wise.

If they’re going to be broadcasting from this studio from now on, and with The Project coming from Sydney more often I would’ve hoped they’d have made it look a little more permanent with some proper set walls rather than black curtains and screens.

The lighting of the set can obviously be adjusted, so one would hope that will look very different and much brighter come Monday morning.

When you’re used to seeing 100 people in the endtag, that looks bare in comparison. Surely they will do the show from the multi-dollar newsroom set still, I am hoping just from the couch. Doubt the studio audience will ever return anyway.

I can understand it’s meant to be a bit of a fun humorous promo with the dancing gist, but it all seems kind of forced with the change being so sudden and not preempted to viewers earlier.

I’d say they literally filmed this on that rehearsal weekend, and that reaction is genuine. I’d also say there is no new set or studio coming… again, all that rehearsal weekend (as reported by TVBB.)

Tells you nothing about the ‘new’ show nor does it showcase their chemistry. So, that promo alone won’t attract any new viewers. And they dance- how riveting (and socially distanced).
