This one is probably safer as I’m not sure if that token will expire?

It turns out the number here sevenprd01,7food-180.m3u8 is actually the delay in minutes for each timezone from AEDT. So, it looks like a national feed timeshifted for each market.

AusIPTV 5.02

Changes:

  • Some things I forgot to document when I did version 5.01 and didn’t release for some reason
  • Added 7food Network streams
  • Changed the names of the Network 10 channels
  • That’s about it

Download AusIPTV 5.02

Currently the streams for 7food network are set to the correct time zones. I don’t know what will happen when daylight savings ends, seeing as though this link exists: https://csm-e.tls1.yospace.com/csm/extlive/sevenprd01,7food-120.m3u8 which I assume is the Perth stream when daylight savings is not occurring.

Great work, shame there isn’t a Mac version :stuck_out_tongue:haha. Did use it on the Windows partition when I had Windows installed in Bootcamp.

Works fine for me on Fedora Linux. My only stumble was that my system defaulted to python2, once I launched it with python3 everything worked just fine, and opened up VLC and played the streams I tried without issue.

I’ve made a VLC playlist with all the 9 Tennis streams. You can scroll through the different streams by hitting the next button.

Viacom has bought the free streaming service Pluto TV saying it wants to expand the service offering in the US and expand internationally. Pluto has about 100 free channels including news, sport, comedy and specialty channels THC (pot), geek channels (CNET) and more. The service is ad supported.

It works well in Australia but there are limited channels available here. Using a VPN gives you substantially more.

I had a quick look - all I get is a error message and an attempt to load the Eminem channel.

I just tried it and it works for me ok.

Probably because I’m not using my VPN. I get the same issue on my iPad.

Quite impressed. Not perfect but the range of channels is quite good for a free service. Just hoping Viacom doesn’t muck this up.

What’s the bet they’ll start jamming ads in left, right & center

There are pre-roll ads now, and ads during during programs on their own channels. Never watched a full movie so don’t know whether they are commercial free once the movie starts.

I know the service already carries ads but wouldn’t be surprised if the amount it carries gradually increases over time

Apple could launch its new streaming services in April, after a star-studded event on March 25.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-02-13/apple-is-said-to-invite-hollywood-stars-to-video-service-launch
Reuters adds that the new service is likely include subscription services from CBS, Viacom and Lions Gate Entertainment’s Starz, as well as its own original content. Since the new service is expected to launch gloablly, this will affect 10 All Access and Stan which have existing content agreements with these three companies.

Won’t be any immediate impact, unless the existing content agreements coincidentally happened to be scheduled to end at the same time Apple’s service launches.
