They also did it for all 5 seasons of Power, I believe.
Season 5 of RPDR All Stars will premiere on June 6th.
On another note, wonder if Drag Race Australia is still in the pipe line have not heard a thing since August 2019.
Was it ever in the pipeline? They just acquired the rights to the format, Iâm sure that happens all the time and they either sit on them for a while or it takes time to plan for it and shop it around - either as a pilot or idea etc.
I hope not, iâve just started it and really enjoying it.
Has anyone watched The Great? I have just finished the first season. Found it really enjoyable. I wasnât expecting to enjoy it but thought I would just give it a go. It was very clever how they managed to tell a little bit of history in such a comedic way. It felt very âskittishâ but I think that is what made the series very enjoyable.
I do find it quite amusing how a lot of these series they produce now could easily be a movie or a short run 3 episode series but with the increasing demand of streaming we are seeing more and more series produced.
I have also started Normal People. Again I was prepared to turn this off after an episode but was completely gripped. I watched 7 episodes while working today. The character development in this series was amazing. The story telling of sex and relationships was very real and strays away from the traditional love story which I find compelling. From what I watched I would totally recommend. Apparently there isnât a second series on the cards though. Although from all reports it was extremely well received all over the world.
Have you seen the movie The Favourite by the same Aussie screenwriter, Tony McNamara?
No I havenât is it worth watching?
Itâs so good.
Seen the first episode of The Great and loved it, will be back for more.
Good to know I will check it out!
I thought it was great. Sounds like The Great is definitely written in the same style although about a different monarch. A bit dark in places but those things did happen.
I found this article on The Great really interesting - showing what âoccasionally trueâ really meant.
Thereâs a good interview in TV Week with Belinda Bromilow who plays Betty in Doctor Doctor and Aunt Elizabeth in The Great. She is also married to writer Tony McNamara.
It says they were in Italy in February to film The Great and she and her kids âgot out of Italy in the nick of timeâ. So they must be filming a season 2 now?
HBO has renewed Love Life for a second season. Season 1âs last four episodes were available on Stan yesterday. The new season will focus on a new lead character.
Hightown, seen on Stan has also been renewed for a second season.
Edit - another renewal.
I watched Love Life the other day. It was good. I waited until all episodes had dropped. It is more of a binge rather than a week by week watch in my opinion. I am assuming though than Anna Kendrick wonât be staring in the next season. It feels as if her story is done.
Its an Anthology series, in Season 2 she may guest start (she is a Producer) but it will be a new cast and new story, I understand itâs going to be Marriage related.
