Football Australia has acquired the broadcast rights for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup and will include it as part of their overall 2025 - 2028 rights package which is about to go out to tender.
The governing body has not done the same thing for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup though. As for those rights, the AFR is reporting that Optus, SBS and Nine are currently involved in those negotiations.
