Would’ve been the last ever season of TV rights before 10 Took those up the following year until 1998 when the Season was permanently made into summer.

This happened around the same time 10 lost NRL rights to Nine leaving 10’s top sports rights featuring only Melbourne Cup and Sydney to Hobart. Seven’s top sports rights back then remained AFL, Tennis and Supercars.

Every commentary team was localised (considering regional networks covered their teams for their home games) even though not all games were covered (especially Gold Coast Rollers and Geelong Supercats games).

For 1991 it was often something like
BRISBANE/GOLD COAST: Peter Meares, John Musgrove, Glen Palmer
NEWCASTLE (NBN): Mike Rabbitt, Dave Ankaney
SYDNEY: Graham McNaney, Greg Henricks
ILLAWARRA (Prime): Phil Lynch, Tom Pottinger
CANBERRA (Prime): Phil Lynch, ?
MELBOURNE/GEELONG: Drew Morphett, Bill Palmer (League CEO)
HOBART (ABC): Rod Kilner/Peter Walsh, Dave Atkins
ADELAIDE: Andrew Kay, Lyn Parnell
PERTH: Dave Christison/Dennis Cometti, John Gardiner

Morphett, Cometti, Palmer and Gardiner did the GF Series that year

Quick question, who broadcasted the GF Breakfast between 2002 and 2011?

I know Seven did it until 2001, and Fox since 2012.

Yes Ten, Michael Christian hosted, at least 2009. The best Grand Final coverage we ever saw. Sadly the only one ONE HD got to do.

Check out this crucial match in terms of the 1992 BRL top-four, as the Diehards host the Seagulls at Neumann Oval, Albion. Tom Raudonikis and Warren Boland are the commentators.

Neumann Oval would be bought by QLD Cricket and converted into Allan Border field a few years later.
