They should just dismantle the Local/Multiview red button services since the picture quality of the ‘screens’ are below SD and allocate that spectrum to have A-PAC and Sky News UK as actual channels.

does anyone actually use it? I haven’t for almost 10 years. Such an antiquated service these days.

…and didn’t even Sky News UK shut down their “Active” service sometime last year or in 2014?

From TV Tonight:

Two things - why does it need to replace A-PAC when it’s also replacing (or moving?) History Channel? And, moreover, why does it need to be on two channels?

History has been 611 for over a year now.

Ah, I stand corrected. Some old links on their website said 606.

still doesn’t explain the shafting of APAC for it to air on 2 channels.

Wouldn’t 606 be a redirect to 648 though much in the same way Ch 7, 70 & 71 aren’t actually three seperate broadcasts of the main Seven channel?

In that case, the reason for two seperate channels is so that it appears higher in the EPG

Sky News Election 606 up and running with a full screen Sky UK - @bacco007 don’t poop in your panties Bacco.
