Sky News (2016-Feb 2025)

Exactly. I think the only kind of font that compliments it is a thin font like Sky UK’s current one. Not a thick font.

Same. Good to see the arse end of that idea. So stupid keeping a dulled down Live super up 24/7, especially when they needed to cover it for every replay or on the .com.au streams.

Agreed … probably just a teething thing. At least the bottom-left program ID looks good.

It’s much nicer using the typeface used by Sky News UK for their news headlines and graphics. Sky News UK has been using the same on air look since the 2015 General Election on May 8 that year.

It actually is quite a decent relaunch.
That backdrop though behind Mr Stefanovic looks very familiar?

I felt the same when I first saw it. Looks better than Today’s one though.

Seems like the program bugs for all the opinion programs feature a speech bubble. Despite that, there’s no change to their titles

I would have made that box Yellow with black text. And black strap hello text . Or is that too in your face lol

Memo to Paul Murray: Do up that top button, nobody wants to see part of your chest hair on national TV!

Lol.

It’s a relaxed, late night forum program.

It’s fine.

Relaxed? Murray has a tendency to get so hot under the collar that it probably popped off during a tirade about channel two.

Or his face

Relaxed, in format, obviously.

Nothing wrong with showing your chest, whether it’s clean or hairy.

Wow - never thought I’d see a good graphics package on Sky News Australia, but this isn’t too bad.

Shame about the horrible theme music.

Seeing that cool font in more places! The ticker and supers on Sky News Weather are aligned differently to the main channel versions.

Like the other channels, the ticker stays on-screen during breaks but with a black box behind it similar in size to the previous ticker.

Wow, never dreamed that SNAU would finally not have shit graphics.

Coming Up super. Proof that font would have been fantastic for headline supers.

Wear a coat, tie and handkerchief. Alan can give him a few tips about how to dress for television.

Maybe Alan can lend him one of his mint green or peach jackets. And one of his ties too. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
