I shake my head. He did a very good Drive program on 2UE that had real warmth, despite the Stan Zemanek type rants that were an act just as Stan’s were an act. I use to really like him, which is probably why I look at the odd clip on Twitter and YouTube. He is just really pathetic. It is a terrible program. At least Alan Jones and Cory Bernardi have a bit of class. There is nothing positive I can say about Paul Murray.
Think he called him a ‘W**ker’ on-air before. Honestly since when was swearing appropriate on a supposed news-opinion program on a supposed news channel?
Also since he disrespects so many people why should he deserve any respect? He should eat what he cooks.
Whether people like Paul Murray and his views or not, you’ve got to admit that Sky’s post-6pm programs are far more interesting than those that air during the day?
I don’t agree with some things that Credlin, Bolt, Jones and Murray say, but at least they have strong opinions and it makes for interesting viewing. Sometimes if the 6pm news is getting boring I switch it over to Credlin for a few minutes.
But if people want to see a softer side of Paul Murray, I’d recommend listening to his podcast with Sam Armytage he did a few weeks ago. It was a really good chat between the two of them, and Paul came across as a really nice, compassionate bloke away from the cameras.
He’s just one of the boys!! Australia’s Everyman. Hence the whole smoking a cigar, enjoying V8 racing. He’s just talking like everyone else allegedly talks. Only if you’re an uneducated Neanderthal.
Well, at least they’re putting our commercial networks to shame as they produce arguably the best comedy on Australian TV. Really funny to see a lot of these guys whining about ‘the left’ and how they’re not given a fair go, not to mention looking like a circus when they have 3 nut jobs and 1 token left-wing person on PML which makes the whole show look like an insane asylum.
Would he be the same if it was Mike Carlton or Pete FitzSimmons did the interview?
Yeah, I often asked myself “Was Paul Murray really that far right during his days on 2UE?” whenever the latest outrageous PM moment is mentioned on this forum.
Similar can be said about regular Sky News contributor (and likely future presenter, either there or on talkback radio) Caleb Bond - who many of us know was fairly centrist, perhaps even slightly progressive during his Media Spy posting days.
Not sure how anyone can be amused by Murray, Jones, Bolt, Credlin and the rest of those post-6pm Sky News hacks. I personally find them rather depressing.
Paul Murray is an idiot.
All the prime time lineup are.
Pretty sure that’s Warren Smith
Correct. SEN 1170 and Fox Sports News presenter.
I enjoy the 6PM lineup, its great viewing, informative and not shy from debate.
Debate on Sky After Dark?
Comparing a female premier to a piece of shit that should be flushed down the toilet is not really debate.
These angry white men usually only invite guests on their shows who agree with them. It’s not debate. Alan Jones telling Australians that COVID will not kill people is not debate. Alan has never had one health professional on his show to debate him on this, unless Craig Kelly is a doctor.
I always worry that the Sky News Studios will catch fire and the After Dark team will use it as an excuse to declare martial law and use emergency powers to take over the federal and state parliaments.
If he was then he’d be a pretty terrible one.
The amount of misinformation is catastrophic in Sky After Dark. Sky News would have killed us all by now.
It is an echo chamber.
Alan Jones will be pleased with the anti-lockdown protest in Sydney this afternoon at Broadway. Plenty of violence, few masks and if someone has COVID this is a super spreader event.
It’s a reminder that when things are bad, Alan Jones can make them worse.
He’s probably waiting for a few chaff bags for the police that dares to ‘interfere’.
That’s funny. ![]()
