Sky News (2016-Feb 2025)

I think you’ll find most people working behind the scenes don’t necessarily agree with the content going to air but a Job is a Job.

Paul Murray talking about Annastacia Palaszczuk’s trip to Tokyo.

Just like there was no reason for Murray to go to the White House.

Both trips were unnecessary.

Everything about Sky’s primetime lineup strikes me as a 4th rate FOX News.

There’s only one city left bidding.

I haven’t followed the story, what happened to everyone else? No one wants it?

In light of this detail, doesn’t make it necessary anymore for her to be there. If there were other bidders whose leaders were there, it would make sense, but why is it so important if you’re going to be the only bidder?

Because you have to actually physically sign documentation.

Hard to say without looking into the nitty gritty, noting this is the Sky News thread, but considering the pandemic, which is yet to be completed, I am sure there could be another way for that outcome to be achieved.

They could have asked a company like Adobe to set up a document for everyone to sign electronically.

You mean… like every company in the world has since the pandemic started?

This is the IOC we’re talking about. Their members have gone to Tokyo, John Coates made it very clear they expect the bid city reps to be their as well.

Would never have been questioned by anyone if she was a member of the LNP and male.

I disagree, the noisy twitter left would crucify the hypothetical him.

Twice as hard if anything.

Lol, unlikely. It’s a coordinated News Corp hit on a popular, progressive female premier. They don’t like them at Holt Street. It’s a working trip - not like she’s holidaying in Hawaii during a catastrophe natural disaster or anything.

There is some comedy involved in watching Paul Murray frothing at the mouth in regard to Annastacia Palaszczuk. If we had rabies in Australia, I would insist that Paul was tested for it.

It’s hilarious as Paul doesn’t even live in Queensland and only 19% of Australians live in the Sunshine State, although more and more are moving there. How could anything she does even remotely affect him?

Snoozenooze is bang on - the Premier’s problem is that she’s a female, she’s progressive and she’s popular. The perfect target for Murdoch and his Pit Bull Terrier, Paul.

Mind you I estimate that Paul has around 9 000 viewers in Queensland so the Premier could not care less about the frothing.

Paul Murray is just such a hateful person. To say things like ‘flush this mob’ for Annastacia and her government is vile and disgusting. No class or dignity whatsoever.

He once said about Christopher Pyne “I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire”.

Charming

I know that on Mediaspy we need to be respectful to everyone. But it’s hard to be respectful to Paul. He is so personal and nasty that I think we can also go on the attack with him.

I remember him repeating this over and over before the last Queensland election:

“The Premier is a stain in the toilet and we need to get the Domestos, give it a good wipe and then flush her and her mob”

Murray is a disgusting and vile bully. He has momentous delusions of adequacy. The only way to get him out of the studio is to throw a stick.
