Why can’t they build a decent set like this and swap out the plasma with local city skyline and imagery for each region. They are doing news for like 7 million people for god sake. Build a freaking set

it looks a bit too casual for news… although maybe that’s the look they’re going for… “Oh… you’ve just caught me checking my Facebook… here’s the headlines…”

How can two minutes of news a day classify as local news? No vision. No reporting.
It’s fucking ridiculous. This can’t be allowed to continue if they merge with major metro markets. They need to do a full half hour or news into every market they service.

All Southern Cross Ten/TDT10/SCTV updates from around the country last night. The NSW/ACT video features full weather reports for the respective regions.
The presenter for North Queensland is a bit enthusiastic with the new graphics and IPad.
You might want to fix up the title of clip #3! Those temperatures look alarmingly hot for June! 
On a more serious note…it’s very dodgy how SC10 still appears to be running updates with predominately Gold Coast content on the Lismore/NSW Far North Coast channel even if that region has local news quite adequately covered by Prime7 and NBN.

wouldn’t that be because the GC is the biggest city in that TV region? yeah it’s above the border, but if it’s where more eyes are.
Southern Cross News SA has now followed suit and has updated its chroma key to match the rest.
I have noticed that a couple of the images in the background feature images of attractions within the broadcast area.

Don’t mind this look at all, probably the best out of all of them. Agree with the monitors though, would be much more personalized with state based imagery.
Weeknight sports presenter Michael Maney has left Southern Cross Tas, no word on a replacement yet.
Ali Drower is currently presenting North QLD news updates on Southern Cross Ten.
It was Tim Hatfield doing them last week. Short-staffed I suppose!
It’s been a while since I’ve seen Ali Drower presenting. She’s a breath of fresh air in comparison to some of their on air talent.
The presenter on the VIC updates is ahhhh, well interesting.

TBH, I think that the likes of Sam Hunt and Jared Coote would probably be better as on the field reporters rather than presenters. If only SC10 had a proper news service! * sigh *

Southern Cross News SA is trying some spiffy new things. Using a keyed background with the newsreader standing for a TT Adelaide report on Broken Hill.
