Seven & Ten News (SCA)

I’d be pretty shocked if it was Brent, he seems to have stuck around with WIN through so much change and survived all the cutbacks and I’m sure would have had plenty of opportunities to leave but he’d be a good get. Wonder if Rob Fairs might make a comeback - imagine Kim Millar reading the news, Rob Fairs on sport and Murph on the weather - it would be just like the 90’s and 2000’s all over again! Maybe Peter Gilligan is going to make a comeback.

Not Brent. The new presenter is an unknown name to Tasmanian viewers.

Unknown as in a national name or a completely new name?

Maybe someone from behind the scenes getting their first crack at on camera. Sales Manger by day, Sports Presenter by night.

From what I’ve heard, it’s a journalist from the top end. I’ve never seen his work feature on Melbourne’s news or even heard of him until now, so I doubt viewers in Tasmania would be familiar with him.

First story that I’ve seen from Tom Johnson since his move on the Tassie bulletin tonight. A truck fire in Adelaide big enough to make it to the national news part, good to hear his voice again!

She should have just kept going instead of fumbling like that, bit awkward.

Haha. Not the first time we’ve seen that blank desk. Must be an incorrect macro in the rundown after the live cross to return to Launceston studio instead of Hobart, where Louise is (for those playing at home).

Probably a look-live?

Yeah it be an incorrect Moz command or an additional one in the script rundown. Easy mistake to do but that’s what your Line Up Producer is checking for.

I think they should let Ruby Cairns and Mark Zita present when Louise goes on maternity leave.

Not sure who Mark is, but Ruby did a good job on the 10 News Local updates so it would be nice to see her read.

What about Victora Estone (Can’t recall her last name but you probably know who) has she read yet?

Pigs will have to fly before you’ll see me on the desk at 6pm. :joy::joy::joy:

Makenna Baily also did a great job reading the 10 News First Loval updates also and she presented Seven News Tasmania a few times between September 2022 and April this year.
