Defending champion Redzel saddles up in the Everest - the “world’s richest race on turf” - alongside a crack field of 11 other runners vying for $13 million in prizemoney over 1200m at Randwick.
In the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas, The Autumn Sun will jump a short-priced favourite after the colt drew perfectly in barrier 5 yesterday.

Hosted by Bruce McAvaney , Hamish McLachlan and Jason Richardson , with experts Peter Moody, Richard Freedman and Katelyn Mallyon , along with colour reporting from Abbey Gelmi,Emma Davenport and Jessica Ridley, and Chris Symons with all the horseback interviews.

The Caulfield Guineas at 5:15pm is the highlight race at Caulfield, so why is Seven shifting the coverage in Sydney and Melbourne from 7 to 7TWO at 5:00pm. The Brisbane times appear to be wrong.
For some stupid and illogical reason, they almost always prioritize airing the 5pm bulletin even though when they move the horse racing to 7Two - it only runs for an extra half hour
According to today’s Herald Sun, Seven will again broadcast the Inter Dominion harness racing event, to be held this year at Tabcorp Park in Melton in Melbourne’s outer west, on Saturday December 15. Hamish McLachlan will host the telecast, alongside Tabcorp’s harness guru Adam Hamilton and Adelaide Crows AFL star Josh Jenkins.
The eastern states will get at least 30 minute extra coverage on main channel tomorrow to cover for the Caulfield Guineas. The new broadcast times are:
Sydney 12.00pm LIVE on Channel 7 and 7plus, 5.30pm LIVE on 7TWO and 7plus
Melbourne 12.00pm LIVE on Channel 7 and 7plus, 5.30pm LIVE on 7TWO and 7plus
Brisbane 11.00am LIVE on Channel 7 and 7plus
It’s going to be a wet day today in both Sydney and Melbourne for horse racing. The feature event Caulfield Cup isn’t run until 4.40pm AEDT. Six internationals are among the 18 horses vying for the $5 million price.

Looks like the rain is easing up but this is the problem of running g the feature event so late on the programme to suit tv broadcasters. Would hate to see such a race abandoned or postponed.
What makes you think it’s fake? I’m not a fan of it especially when they lower the commentary for the low shot of the hooves on at around the 800m mark, but it does add to the atmosphere of being on course.
