Yes. It was just copy-and-pasted from above.

In fact, there were so many mistakes being made there, I feel like I should make a completely amended summary.

LIV Golf 2026 – Adelaide Day 4
See Friday

Out of curiosity, how many other T20 game series were mentioned on that press release?

Was interesting to see/hear the American “channel change” advice during Seven’s LIV Golf coverage this afternoon. I know they are taking an international commentary feed, but still.

Also that this was at 3:05pm AEDST, so not just before/at the top or bottom of the hour like you’d normally expect.

This is due to overflow event coverage.

Seven’s Supercars and Bruce McAvaney recognised by Australian Sport Commission

Seven takes home two prestigious media awards

The Seven Network has been recognised with two honours at the Australian Sport Commission (ASC) Media Awards at the Sydney Cricket Ground last night, with Seven’s 2025 Bathurst 1000 coverage and legendary broadcaster Bruce McAvaney both taking home top accolades.

Hailed as one of the greatest Supercars Championship races ever, Seven’s coverage of the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 captured every thrilling, emotional and unpredictable moment of Matt Payne and Garth Tander’s monumental victory on Mount Panorama.

Claiming the biggest audience for the Bathurst 1000 since 2016 and a record Supercars audience on 7plus Sport, the broadcast reached more than 5.9 million Australians live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport.

Seven’s second win at the 2026 ASC Media Awards recognised Australia’s most revered sport commentator, Bruce McAvaney, who accepted the Best Sport Coverage By An Individual – Broadcast award.

During his acceptance speech, Bruce McAvaney said: “It’s an enormous honour. You’re the front person for a team in roles like this and that’s what makes it so enjoyable, you’re part of an exceptional team.

“The Commonwealth Games is very much on my mind at the moment and we were reminded tonight that it is the only multi-sport event in the world with that integration of para-athletes and able-bodied athletes and that is what so much of tonight has been about,” he said.

“It’s wonderful winning these awards but the greatest gift is opportunity and just getting the chance. I’m the luckiest bloke in the world.”

Seven’s Supercars coverage in 2026 commenced last weekend with the Repco Sydney 500 and continues with the NTI Townsville 500 in July, while Bruce McAvaney will feature throughout the year on Seven’s horse racing and athletics coverage as well as the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games from Thursday, 23 July 2026.

I think is a stretch. According to this post by SBS, I think it was mainly for their World Athletics Championship coverage that he got the award for.

The ASC Media Awards Twitter did say it was for both 7sport & SBS Sport so 7 can claim credit but I feel the main sporting event would of been the athletics on SBS

Yeah he didn’t win it for horse racing or a few AFL telecasts lol

LIV Golf Hong Kong, which concludes today, is only streaming live on 7plus, due to Seven’s commitments to other sports like AFL and women’s cricket. There are highlights and full replays on 7plus.

They’re not using 7flix or 7Two?

7two is in use depending on where you are.

  • Sydney, Brisbane, Perth: Cricket sessions 2 & 3, continuing from 7mate due to AFL taking over
  • Melbourne: Normal programming, cricket on 7mate, AFL on main channel
  • Adelaide: AFL pregame 6.30-6.50pm only, otherwise as Melbourne

Really poor form from Seven for not airing final round on linear.

Is there really much of an audience for LIV Golf on linear (outside of the local round)?

There’s no audience for LIV anywhere on the planet outside of that Adelaide weekend.

Adelaide Invitational set to ignite athletics season

World class athletics returns to Australia, only on 7plus Sport

The Seven Network is set to welcome the stars of Australian athletics back to its screens, as the local athletics season ramps up with the Adelaide Invitational tomorrow, 14 March, live, free and exclusive to 7plus Sport.

Australia’s best athletes, including Olympians, Paralympians and World Championships representatives, will be taking to the track at the SA Athletics Stadium with all the action on Saturday on 7plus Sport from 7.00pm AEDT.

The Adelaide Invitational lineup is star studded, highlighted by Paris 2024 Olympic Bronze medallist Matt Denny, who will be looking to break more records following a historic 2024 event which saw him win a national title in the men’s discus throw.

Denny will be joined by reigning Australian champion and Olympic 800m runner Abbey Caldwell, who is ready to chase her third consecutive Adelaide Invitational victory. Caldwell will be looking to find her groove in the lead up to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Other big names competing in the event will be Adelaide local Aidan Murphy and top fancy Jacory Patterson, who will battle it out in the Golden North Men’s 200m event on Saturday night.

The Adelaide Invitational will include a host of marquee track and field events, including pole vault, discus throw, 100m, 200m, long jump and many others, with the event acting as a perfect prelude to marquee athletics events in the coming months including the Maurie Plant Meet, the Stawell Gift and the iconic Commonwealth Games.

Seven’s Head of Sport, Digital, Kirsty Bradmore, said: “Our partnership with Athletics Australia has taken the exciting sport to new audiences across the country over the past few years, and we are thrilled to continue to be the home of athletics in 2026.

“It is a truly exciting period for athletics with the likes of Matt Denny, Nina Kennedy, Lachlan Kennedy and Gout Gout giving Aussies a real reason to cheer. We’re committed to continue to drive the sport to new audiences in the lead up to a massive Commonwealth Games in July and August.”

Following the Adelaide Invitational, Seven will be home to iconic events on the Australian athletics calendar including the Maurie Plant Meet on Saturday, 28 March, the Stawell Gift on Monday, 6 April and the 2026 Australian Athletics Championships on Friday, 10 April to Sunday, 12 April.
