A Possum driving a car now that’s new.
The 7Regional custom feed for The Chase Australia still has the 7plus.com.au link watermark:
Is 7twoHD Wollongong still a statewide feed for Southern NSW/ACT, or is it a local Illawarra feed of sorts now? On the channel list for the Illawarra channels from SWM, there’s no Wollongong name next to the 7Bravo and 7flix channels, which is a complete giveaway of them being statewide feeds. However, the city name for Wollongong is present on 7twoHD.

It’s been like that for quite awhile. I haven’t watched that channel recently but a few months ago it was still statewide. with that name.
7two Wollongong will be taking Wagga Wagga feed. there are only two feeds for 7two NSW. One is Tamworth and the other is Wagga Wagga.
With Seven’s pending acquisition of SCA’s remaining stations, and the ex-Prime stations still being operationally separate from 7QLD, would it be more prudent to name this thread Seven Regional (NSW/ACT/Vic/WA) in line with the related news thread?
The ex-Prime stations will be operationally separate from the ex-SCA stations, at least in the short-to-medium term.
Looks like the station formally known as Prime7 Gold Coast (Channel 60) is being shut down and viewers directed to Seven Brisbane (Channel 70). Both are known as 7HD Gold Coast on the Gold Coast.
What a bizarre anomaly. Mackay (QLD) ad seen in Southern NSW-ACT on 7two, aired 3rd June 2025.
Are advertisers in the Sunshine State now trying to appeal to residents of Southern NSW or something? ![]()
If they are selling Online Training there’s possibly no reason why not?
It doesn’t seem like something that would be region specific considering it states it’s “on-line”.
It’s like promoting a Virtual Assistant service but then working in the clients office.
The sort of legacy that should have shut down a long time ago. Better late than never I guess.
My suggestion is that 7 Regional NSW (the source of the LCN 60 programming) is showing AFL tonight and that signal cannot be shown in Queensland.
It is a rare case of Saturday night AFL involving GWS and PA being shown in Sydney and across NSW on Seven. But Seven isn’t allowed to show the game in Queensland.
@Not_Responsible what time does the EPG listing for the slide end?
I could only imagine it never ending at all! ![]()
I wonder if the same will happen with the NRN (10) Gold Coast license? Isn’t the noodle updates provided by WIN just a combined Northern Rivers/Gold Coast update? And aren’t the local GC ads also screened on the Lismore/Northern Rivers Network 10 channels?
If so, makes no sense to keep NRN Gold Coast going, especially since the majority of Gold Coast residents just watch the main Brisbane metro relays instead. The viewing public couldn’t really care less about the advertising coming from any GC businesses at all through TV (even the ads on the SCA Gold Coast radio stations mention Gold Coast and Brisbane).
In short, I reckon the days of Gold Coast regional channels alongside the metro relays are over, barely anyone watches the regional GC channels, the local hotels have the channels programmed to the Brisbane ones, and some (heck) probably even have the regional channels wiped from their TV channel lists altogether, as having duplicate network channels on their TVs is totally unnecessary.
Also these regional channels aren’t running at full-power unlike the metro ones despite coming from the same high-power transmitter that also transmits the metro relays, so reception of the regional channels could vary depending on where you are in the GC (I was told by @TV.Cynic you can’t pick up these channels in Brisbane, only the metro relays, indeed the regional GC channels are on low-power, specifically to cover the Gold Coast market only. Also with the Seven Network currently in the process of upgrading their metro channels across the 5 major capital cities to MPEG-4 HD (including the Gold Coast) and discontinuing SD simulcasts, I don’t see any reason to resume transmissions of the ex-Prime7 Gold Coast service.
The only viewers of these channels being those in media forums (like us), and those craving GC advertising. That’s about it. Overall, I think we’re just starting to see the beginning of the end of the duplicate channel system on the GC.
Can anyone check if the GC signal is still showing that slide or if it is back to normal programming?
wonder if other former prime7 eg in victoria will follow suit move to 70 ?
Surely they could have just put some alternative programming on.
On a side note, during the summer, the BBL was an hour behind on 60 but live on 70 on the Gold Coast
Do the multichannels on NEN work in Gold Coast? I hope so because thats the only station in GC that has 7two HD.
