Seven (Regional)

We aren’t talking about VAST

VAST is a platform lacking 7flix, etc, so it’s relevant.

Seven West got back to me regarding lack of multi’s and HD in WA and they told me something is in the works and to stay tuned. :man_shrugging:

Good to know re HD for regional WA! About time.

Does 7 do playout for 10West too?
Hopefully HD is coming for 10 there as well.

WIN does playout for 10West. 10West have this:

5: 10HD
50: 10Bold
55: 10Peach

It’s not as simple as that. 7 Darwin is not owned by the government but by SCA, and the owner can say there has to be enough support from ads in order to fund the new channels and it can say the market is too small to justify it. So the government cannot step in because it’s owned by private owner.

:open_mouth: i saw on seven network Wiki 7Kids -2023

Doubt it is real. Remember everyone can edit Wikipedia.

I never ever knew 7 had their own wiki fandom page.

Also, nobody knew that 7bravo was coming until the upfronts. The likeliness that Wikipedia would somehow know of new channels, and it not being reported anywhere else is the same as Jana Wendt being announced as the new host of ACA.

they could have a online kids channel

They do. It’s called Creative Kids.

Anyone else thinking ishoptv could go the same way as openshop?

There’s not enough ad revenue in smaller markets to support 15-20 multi Channels

One can hope, waste of bandwidth.
To discourage their continuation, the Fed Govt should restart spectrum fees for those stations that rent out part of their spectrum to 3rd party operators such as 24/7 televangelist and home shopping channels.

no, I wouldn’t be surprised if the metro 7’s start carrying ishoptv soon!

Yep, I reckon they’ll end up carrying ishoptv, or create a new one for both metro and regional. As history indicates, the commercials always fall back to having at least one home shopping/paid-for service.

Seven and 10 appear to be off air in Newcastle due to a fibre cut between Mt Sugarloaf and West Wallsend exchange. Telstra claim their DVN network is redundant but it isn’t true because they only have one fibre up there.

To make things worse… 10 and Seven only just moved off DDA’s microwave network and onto Telstra’s non-redundant DVN fibre at Sugarloaf, they are probably regretting that now.

9NBN has survived because they use TPG Telecom’s microwave backbone to carry their pictures.

Not sure if this is old news but ishoptv is on LCN 67 this morning on SSW southwest WA. Was LCN 65.

What is new, logo for 7 Regional WA on Google TVs has finally been updated from the ond GWN7 logo.

The logo is reliant on an internet connection. Not sure which 3rd party supplies these logos.
