Clash of the fonts.

Not directly related but 7’s Olympic rings sports logo used at the Gabba due to technical issues with the ground scoreboard.

I think it’s probably used to show credit (idk) and so the ground just stuck any old 7 logo they had

Another font “sandwich” in the Wednesday promo

More like a tossed salad.

Caught a new movie tie-in ident, it had a 7 logo at the end

A post was merged into an existing topic: Digital TV Technical Discussion

Per a @tvcl web server recording I looked at on my iPad, the tie-in was for The Bad Guys 2, but when I first saw it yesterday, I only saw the ending.

Have we ever seen “Bottom line” used?

“If this is empty, this doesn’t matter”

Rarely see Home and Away, but caught the end tonight. At the end of the preview of tomorrow night’s show, there was a red 7 at the bottom of the screen with the copyright information, which then slid to the left and became 7+. Is that new?

Been like that at least since they changed the credits template earlier this year.

Caught the start of tonight’s movie The Bourne Legacy, after Better Homes and Gardens. Noticed the near-immediately timed watermark promo pop-up (for “MKR Semi”) and associated succeeding larger pop-up.

These happened to over-lay and block in-film information, not once but twice (location) and also a notable moment from the picture where Jeremy Renner leaps out of the water (he was half cut-off).

Incredibly frustrating and disrespectful for the viewer and feel networks have gotten slack and almost don’t give a shit anyone. I’m positive they used to more carefully review a program and better time presentation elements for these exact reasons, even until a few years ago, prior to ingestion into playout. This film has aired many times previously as well and I’m sure such timestamps would’ve been noted in the master. It’s like a number of other areas that have seen cuts.

They used to do those types of ads sparingly only for the premiere of a significant new show now it’s almist every day. They wonder why viewers hip is down? I still think showing movies on free to air stations is lazy programming. If I want to watch a particular movie I would not tune to Seven to watch it. If it isn’t in my current collection I’ll either rent or buy it from Google which I could do straight away and start watching it 20 minutes in fron the broadcast and finish watching the whole movie before Seven has finished showing the movie on the broadcast channel.

Not everybody has that financial luxury, especially if regularly
