Which of course being production music, was used before that in a Channel Nine Promo for their NRL (or perhaps State of Origin) coverage in the Early 2000s…and a while later in the Pre-Launch Placeholder Loop Promo for ABC News 24.
That said, I do associate that sound most with Seven’s Classification Warnings. All we need now is a John Deeks voiceover at a speed that would rival some disclaimers at the end of Government ads!
Majority of music used on TV is production music… so not really a big revelation there. Unless you’re Nine who get specifically produced music for their identity.
Good find, IIRC that and some other elements circa early-mid 2000s remained all the way until the late 2010s (such as sponsor billboard music, etc as well), but they’d just change it from one channel’s theme to another every few years (e.g.) the main channel sponsor music from about late 2000s to 2012, then became the 7Two sponsor music.
Lovely “Keep the Feeling” promo just aired during 7News Brisbane.
Music track was “What The World Needs Now” and transitioned from Olympics to 7’s upcoming shows.
