In the tv guide there is a 7News: Tasmania Decides for 30 mins at 7pm on saturday. Wonder if that is Tasmanian or mainland produced, with 7news branding.

@TelevisionAU As a suggestion, would listing TAS first in the thread name be more appropriate? It follows the ex-Prime (and 10 Regional) naming by listing the main market first.

They have updated the name of there youtube channel to 7 News Tasmania.

But 7 News is stylised as 7NEWS. Should say 7NEWS Tasmania and have the logo and graphics of the metro/aggregated regional 7NEWS.

Kim Millar mentioned at the end of tonightâs bulletin that she is heading off on leave for a few weeks - Peter Murphy and Michael Maney will be filling in for her.

At least we know that changes are happening and the clunky name is going - nobody more excited than the news staff Iâd imagine!
I was also checking the guides this morning to see if theyâd be a clue to see if Sunday night might be a change for things - Logies night, changes for them usually occur on a Sunday and itâs also near the beginning of the month and a month since the new ownership kicked in.

Iâm guessing Sevenâs team will eventually want the digital and social media platforms to be consistent across the board (i.e. posting content across Facebook, Instagram, etc).
Also prevents someone from using the name to create a fake account to spread BS, etc.

Given we have seen glimpses of new graphics (i.e. supers popping up once, new live cross transition used on election coverage), along with social media being changed over, looks like it might not be too long. But then again, they might be waiting to have everything ready (i.e. connected to Sevenâs systems, etc), before doing it.

For some reason the ad says the location is Hobart, but it also says that they will be based in Launceston?
Yes, I noticed that one the other day after checking after the YouTube channel was updated but from what I saw it had looked like that had been like that for a couple of years and I couldnât see what it used to be.

Youâd hope so! 7Tas has always been very slack with their online presence even the GTS/BKN news did a better job back in the day.
