Good if the case, feel like for a true Tasmanian bulletin they need office’s in both cities. Guess it might also be why Seven hasn’t changed branding over :]

Not sure for how long, but the Tasmanian news is now on 7plus.

Wonder if they’ll get new graphics today? Also the 7plus title card is already outdated as it doesn’t have the red logo!

For some reason they’ve made the Tasmanian thumbnail in the old style instead of the new one that’s just been rolled out?!

As I expected it would be! I was right on the money! :+1:

I wonder if they will soon stop uploading their bulletins to their YouTube channel? When Seven took over the Prime stations in 2021 and rebranded them to 7NEWS in mid-2022, uploads across their ex-Prime regional network for local bulletins continued until around 1st December 2023 before uploads quietly ceased. Could it happen much sooner for the Tasmanian station?

Just in case this disappears like last time

Looks so much cleaner!

You’d have to think it would be sooner rather than later given the extra editing which 7Tas do for the YouTube uploads. For the ex-Prime bulletins it was the same upload for both YouTube and 7+, but for Tasmania they are two distinct uploads, YouTube trimmed to just the local content and 7+ taking the full bulletin. Eg. tonight’s uploads were 46 minutes to 7+ and 14 minutes to YouTube.

Wasn’t the YouTube cutting specifically to edit out the national and international stories from Seven that Tasmania inserted into their bulletins? Since it was content that 7Tas did not own?

Yep, even though it might disappear from Seven, it’ll never leave MS!

Yeah I saw that with one of their older bulletins from this week. Quite interesting how they’re uploading these full bulletins to 7plus right now even though they are still using the SCA Nightly News graphics. You would think they would’ve waited until they rebranded to 7NEWS Tasmania in their bulletins completely and even started taking the metro graphics altogether before they even dared to upload a bulletin to 7plus.

Correct, they only published local stories. Stuff that’s important to local communities in Tasmania. Not national news that would rather be left better for viewing on the 7NEWS Australia YouTube channel.

They may be quietly implementing and making sure it all works before the rebrand occurs and they start openly promoting Tasmania’s availability on 7plus?

From the viewer’s perspective, it all works starting from “Day 1”

Hence why they’re not using the new red-coloured News text logo and graphics! :winking_face_with_tongue:

Is it just me or does the logo look like it was made into a PNG by using a free background removal website? The quality of the edges isn’t great.

I dunno about using an external website to do it, but it does look as if it’s been resized in a hurry.

The main anchor is on holidays at the moment too which might have something to do with the fact they haven’t rolled out new package yet??
