Don’t think so but it was also halfway through when I changed the channel round.
Yep, new picture and now added to the page on 7plus is “Tasmania’s Latest Bulletins” which had the latest 6pm bulletin along with the other Melbourne and national bulletins from the day.
But the best news - Devonport is added to the today’s temperatures map. I’m going to believe that it was because of me and the powers that be saw it here. If so, thanks very much and thanks for all the work with this changeover.
Well they have updated the title card and it’s still not in either carousel. At least you dont have to search specifically for 7News Tasmania now, searching just news shows it now.
Kim crossed to Rick at 6:04 with a mini weather update [following a bad weather related story].
Not used to being home on a Thursday but with power outages my usual pub trivia has been cancelled. They just had an extra cross to Rick Marton to go through the weather for tomorrow with all the warnings as the second story of the night.
A great use for the new graphics to show the winds and the radar which wouldn’t have really shown up on the last graphics. Also Rick has a new suit and was already sounding much better and more confident with things - he could be one of the lurkers here or know people so if he does I just want to say well done. Great to have you on board.
New ad that I haven’t seen before during tonight’s bulletin in the new 7 style and with the Connecting You tagline.
Had Kim Millar and Nick Kelly speaking and Kiah with them both in the final shot.
Not TNT 9 any more now TNT 7 now 7 Network
@dipper still likes to call the station TNT-9 in his videos. He doesn’t just have TV content from now, he also has old TV history from TNT-9, especially when it took on Nine Network branding, even though TNT was an independent commercial TV station at the time.
The owner of the license is still “Southern Cross Television (TNT9) Pty Ltd” and the call sign has always been TNT-9 even though the station has been affiliated with Seven since the mid 90s.
The station even referred to themselves as TNT-9 during their 60 year celebrations a few years ago.
The 9 refers to the original analogue channel number, not the affiliation, so it is still correct to call them TNT-9.
Just call it TNT if you want to be picky about it, but otherwise TNT-9 is fine.
I mean, if we’re gonna get all technical about it, you may as well call it TNT-45.
Everyone shhh!! Otherwise we’ll wake the others that don’t like people using station callsigns! ![]()

It’s less fun now that BCM is no longer in operation. I loved watching the arguments from those who insisted that HSV was Dorcas Street and BCM was… BCM. The audacity we had to insult BCM by calling it HSV
Guess what? Collins Street is now HSV ![]()
Personally I base it on the channel. In the case of TNT, they can broadcast from Launceston, Hobart or wherever and it’s still TNT (and more importantly, TNT-9).
Aren’t they the cars racing around Bathurst at the moment?
With the recent rebrand, are they still making Sunrise-themed morning updates for Tasmania?
Not sure but I’ll try and see if I can see what they have.
Nick Kelly is back tonight for sport - from the cross earlier in the bulletin it looks like he might be in front of the weather presenting green screen.
Kiah also back too.
