Woops! Looks like that slipped into the wrong market’s bulletin.
Watch the dual reader bulletins tonight for a preview of who will be taking Rob’s place when he goes on leave over the Christmas/New Year period ![]()

Not sure if he’s the best choice. His presentation seems to be quite stilted and slow like Broughy.
Oops! Someone must have forgotten to chop that bit out of the video.
Would have looked weird to the viewer that it went black for a second and then they moved on as if nothing happened
They should have Samantha Heathwood present the bulletins that Joanne doesn’t present while Rob is on leave.
Seeing some commentary online tonight from some Townsville groups i’m still a part of, of people saying that channel 7 is coming up named “Sunshine Coast” on their TVs. Have seen multiple comments confirming the original post.
I’m assuming that it must be the LCN Name that is saying Sunshine Coast in the wrong market
Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but it’s nice to see to see 7news.com.au have a separate section for Queensland, as well as featuring Rob, Joanne, et al prominently on the top of the site.
I might be wrong, but Toowoomba’s bulletin was live tonight with the flooding leading the news, a live cross and the Christmas tree seen for the first time.
Not unusual for them to present a different market live if something major is happening there.
Townsville was live a few years ago during the floods there with a live cross.
Mackay was live a few years ago when a cyclone went through.
I think it’s great that they can change the live market if there is a situation that warrants live coverage
Media Watch tonight
Jo is off for the holidays, so Sunshine Coast reporter Dannielle De Pinto fills-in for her in dual presenter markets.

Jo’s Chriatmas break announcement at 28:51 of Friday’s edition (Cairns feed)
That’s how you make them a marketing expense instead of a props expense. ![]()
7 News QUEENSLAND starting to feel a bit anti state government lately. First story tonight was protests out side Sunshine Coast council about the vaccine mandate which isn’t even a council matter, 2nd story was about the opposition concerned the hospitals aren’t ready for the boarders to open (which they pushed to happen sooner). Maybe it’s just a slow News day
Par for the course considering the Melbourne team has been aggressively so for the entirety of the pandemic, not unexpected for a similar agenda to bleed over into reporting in other states newsrooms.
