Sacked or made redundant?
Hearing reports Brisbane’s Anna McGraw, Mitch Kroehn and Nats Levi are the latest on-air casualties. Apparently this leaves their Brisbane market without a single sports reporter. An interesting move for a company trying to secure NRL rights.

If that is true then I think Seven has gone too far. With three NRL clubs and two AFL clubs in SE Queensland there are plenty of stories to cover.

Chris Maher and Mitch K are male.
After I wrote it I remembered Chris was let go. Although majority who have left are all females.
Which definitely is noteworthy.
Rochelle Brown is also leaving and according to the Herald Sun, she didn’t exactly hold back when learning the news:
Page 13 hears the seasoned reporter went striding into the newsroom and straight into [Chris] Salter’s office with her support person – as is an employee’s right when called in for a redundancy meeting … Let’s just say Salter copped an earful, with Brown ripping into him, with words like “workplace culture” heard loud and clear.
So that’s four from the Melbourne newsroom that have been made redundant that we know of at the moment?
