Personally, I seem to prefer this layout for Seven News Melbourne. It didn’t work well with Mitch on Fridays and Mike on Sundays.
I agree, Mike would be thrashed by Alicia on Sunday nights. Considering Sunday nights is one of the biggest rating news nights, it makes sense to put Mitch on.
Mel Mclaughlin presented 5pm sport from ANZ Stadium.
Awkard moment before where she just froze and randomly said something about Geelong Cats to the camera very stiffly, before throwing to the next story.
Mel at ANZ Stadium:
Prediction for tonight’s live cross banter…
Meanwhile on Nine:
Sorry, couldn’t resist!
Or even the other way around:
Mel: And that’s all for sport Fergo.
Mark: So are you predicting a Panthers win Mel?
5 second pause…
Mel: (nods head awkwardly) yep, yep.
To be fair, I think Mel’s the one causing the awkwardness. She’s better off doing general sports coverage, and I think Mark would have a better go at banter with Matt Shirvington.
Haha!
Didn’t mention it earlier since the cap wasn’t up when I made that post, but the amount of people in the background is probably about the same number of viewers Channel Seven will have in Sydney when the Grand Final is on?
If they ever do that though, David Brown would be replaced by a female presenter.
I can’t see Seven having an all-male line-up, even though IMO Fergo, Shirvo and Brownie would make the strongest bulletin.
Would’ve been an amazing lineup
Would be great too
But I’ll leave these things to the mock teams thread.
He is.
Jacqueline Felgate is presenting sport and Melina Sarris is presenting the weather in Melbourne tonight.
Clearly two rolls of vision that should have played, didn’t play.
Sunday (25.10.2020): Afternoon News presenter Kendall Gilding is reading the Brisbane news tonight.
Monday 26th October -
Adelaide’s 4pm bulletin has returned today, with Mike Smithson presenting.
Nicki Barnet is presenting sport and Amelia Mulcahy is presenting the weather.
Interesting. Maybe a short term plan to justify removing costs. Taken a presenter salary out and replaced by a reporter.
Rosanna is on 6pm tonight so it will be interesting to see if she goes back to 4pm when Jane is back.
Just out of interest, who usually does the weekend news when Rosanna is on weeknights these days?
Mike Smithson, he did it a couple of weekends ago when Rosanna was away.
Rosanna Mangiarelli is presenting the Adelaide afternoon news today.
