Jacqui Felgate presented sport on Morning News.
During Morning News the always classy Ann Sanders did a live cross to Amelia Brace in the Sydney newsroom she said “Live to Amelia Brace in Sydney welcome home Amelia…”
Obviously it was the first time Ann has crossed to Amelia since her return from the US.

Thursday 24th September -
Jacqueline Felgate is presenting sport on the Morning News today.
Jacqui is also presenting Melbourne’s Afternoon News once again today.
To replace Tim Lester (who is moving to the US bureau) perhaps? Has Rob had any experience covering political news?
Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but where is Tim Lester heading to again?
Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but where is Tim Lester heading to again?
Replacing Paul Kadak at the U.S. Bureau.
Paul is returning to the Sydney newsroom.
Thanks, I must’ve forgotten about that.
It’ll be interesting to see if Tim Lester stays at the US bureau for an extended period of time or if he’ll eventually return to one of the local newsrooms. With relatively few experienced reporters compared to Nine in the same market, Seven News Sydney probably could use Lester’s services at some point in the future!
Thursday 24 September-
Melina Sarris is presenting weather in Melbourne filling in for Jane Bunn again tonight.
Police drop domestic violence charges against former Channel 7 host Ryan Phelan
Police have dropped all domestic violence charges against television presenter Ryan Phelan after he was accused of assaulting his partner…
The former Channel 7 The Daily Edition co-host was mentioned in Manly Local Court on Friday after pleading not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault…
…prosecutors told the court on Friday they were withdrawing all charges levelled against Mr Phelan.
Magistrate Michelle Goodwin formally marked the two charges withdrawn and dismissed.
She also withdrew and dismissed an apprehended violence order that had been taken out against him by police.
Outside court, Mr Phelan told The Daily Telegraph…“I have always taken a stand against domestic violence and find it abhorrent…These accusations were distressing and extremely damaging to me and my reputation.”
Friday 25 September-
Matt Carmichael is presenting sport on Morning News today.
With Amelia Mulcahy presenting weather on the Morning News this morning, I reckon David Brown has most likely gone back to a Sunday to Thursday roster (he was Sunday to Friday for a few weeks).
@FootyKick Amelia Mulcahy presented weather on Morning News today.
She also presented last Friday so maybe she will now be the regular Friday presenter for the Morning News.
Oh ok, I just assumed Sally read it out because she didn’t announce a presenter’s name before the ad break.
Fair chance that Amelia will now permanently do the Morning News weather on Friday’s, at least until Angie Asimus returns from maternity leave.
Friday 25 September-
Laurel Irving will be presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne today.
Laurel Irving will be presenting Afternoon News in Melbourne today.
Jacqui must be taking a few well deserved days off after filling in for Tim Watson last week on 6pm sport and then Mike Amor this week on the 4pm news.
Fair chance then that Sean Sowerby will present sport in Melbourne tonight.
If Mike’s not back, then Blake Johnson will most likely read tonight’s news.
Friday: Angie Asmus is back from maternity leave and presenting weather on Sydney’s 4pm and 6pm news
Angie Asmus is back presenting weather on Sydney’s 4pm and 6pm news
Wow, that was a quick maternity leave. Didn’t see that coming!
Wonder if she’ll still do the 5pm news, or whether she wants to ease her way back in slowly and just do weather for now.
As she has returned today l think she will be on the 5pm bulletin this weekend, probably easing back into work 3 days a week for now.
At least Angela Cox can now have the weekends off.
