Davis, who first walked into Seven’s Mt-Cootha headquarters 30 years ago, has been told his contract will not be renewed.

The 50-year-old father of three officially announced the news on social media at noon on Wednesday.

Another big loss for the Brisbane news room.

The CM article mentions

Unconfirmed reports estimate up to 150 staff have left Seven nationally in recent times, and have not been replaced.

Yet there have been some new employees.

That’s not surprising. He was demoted to cater for Steve Titmus. A big loss obviously.

Was he demoted? Or just overlooked?

I thought Steve replaced Shane?

Remember Ben Davis also left 7 for a number of years and only fairly recently returned to 7.

Pretty sure Musher has mentioned many times over the years when hosting weekend sunrise etc, that he has always wanted to do Dancing With The Stars, might have just been that the old boss didnt let any news anchors do it - but now ADC has come in and gone yeah sure why not.
