So what’s happened with the weather presenter in Melbourne getting the flick… and that everyone at the station knew about it, according to the newspaper reports?
Not necessarily Seven of course. Could be any channel.
A furphy?

I wouldn’t be surprised when Ann leaves that Ange presents the 4pm bulletin too.
Ann must be slightly annoyed loosing the Morning News Bulletin.
She has literally been downgraded to Sydney’s local Afternoon news.
Her position is now pointless as the Midday presenter could cover this position.
If it wasn’t Natarsha then yes, but given Tarsh now hosts breakfast radio, it’s very unlikely she’d want to also read the 4pm news whilst also on radio.
I doubt it, but do you think we could see her pop up on the 6PM bulletin when Angie and Mark are away?
Liam went into the water previously… last summer I think.
I always remember when she first stated at Ch7 in 2003.
She won an award reporting on the Victorian bushfire coverage. She and her news crew got stuck in a town where there was no access in our out. They bedded down with local towns people and the CFA over night.
Soon after in 2004, she was prompted to Afternoon News updates. Her first bulletin she presented was Melbourne Cup day filling in for David Johnson. It was only shown in Brisbane and Perth due to time zones.
As much as I like her, Ann’s longevity at seven is quite bewildering. in this cost-cutting era.
She’s been there so long and she’d be on an old-school (read: expensive) contract for a daytime bulletin.
We have no idea what her contract is, she may have taken cuts over the years to stay working.
Maybe she knows where the bodiesare buried.
It’s nice to see her going on her own terms- like Jane, Susannah and Kay- and hoping she can end her time at 7 when she decides.
oh, totally agree. I’m in no rush to see her leave. I just think it’s curious.
Tim being back in Canberra will definitely add to Seven’s coverage of the election campaign with having his experience + Mark Riley’s as well
I wonder if there’ll be an on-air US/Europe bureau chief, or whether it’ll be an off-air role like it is at Nine, as well as whether Joel Dry will continue appearing on Seven News (even only intermittently or on a freelance basis) while his wife Jessica Millward continues on as Nine’s European correspondent.
Tim Lester is one of the greats! Great to have him back home.
Give Blake Johnson the US gig permanently.
