There were other control rooms and offices we never saw too, on that same level or out the back and underground. You could see one of them through the windows inside the MCR behind that, possibly audio or technical or part of pres.

Are we sure Paul will be replaced? I wouldn’t be surprised if the newsreader just reads out the forecast on Tony’s days off. Sounds like an unnecessary expense to get someone else to do it.

You build UP resources for something like that, you don’t axe people. More likely the ‘national news desk’ could HQ out of Melbourne.
They haven’t even done it as a FAST channel on 7+. Again, seems unlikely.
Of course he’ll be replaced. All bulletins have a weekend weather presenter.
Yeah - It will be added to someone’s existing duties - not sure employment law would smile on them replacing the role like-for-like

Correct. He wasn’t fired like he claimed on air. His contract just wasn’t renewed which is entirely different.
