Surprised nobody has made mention of the fact Seven has brought Geof Parry over from Perth to bolster the reporting team reporting on the fires in NSW. Great to see Seven value the experience of seasoned reporters like Geof, Tim Lester, Chris Reason and Rob Ovadia by having them spearhead their coverage.

I agree that Melissa Doyle is one of the better presenters at Seven. Similar deal with the other names you mentioned, although David Brown probably should be on that list!
But after the way theyâve treated Mel in recent years, I probably wouldnât be totally dissapointed if she were to join an ever growing list of high quality resenters/reporters whoâve fled the Martin Place newsroom in recent years.
Sure, Iâm more than aware that Nine and other networks have also had their share of major on-air presenter/reporter changes in recent years while thereâs no doubt that even some of the more recent recruits to Seven News Sydney havenât been bad. But at the same time the Martin Place newsroom has lost around 12 top notch presenters/reporters since 2014, while more questionable talent remains - some of whom quite frankly shouldnât even be on the air IMO but thatâs another story!
Yeah maybe but the ABC seemingly couldnât find a more regular/high profile position on TV for Chris Bath, so I canât imagine things being any different for Melissa Doyle.
