Mark has had so many chances to prove himself. Why Seven thought he was good enough for 6pm when he was famously axed from Nine, is just mind boggling.

Oh, I completely agree. Especially since Chris Bath’s demotion from the main chair probably lead to her leaving the network, which is something I also wouldn’t entirely rule out the possibility of being a contributing factor to the departures of at least nine (ten if you can count Paul Kadak’s move to the US, despite remaining with Seven) of their big name reporters/presenters in recent years.
